House of Hope

Children explore & take apart naturally. Turning that natural desire for knowledge toward principles of God's word is a Christian parent's priority in child rearing and training.

Transposed Expedition

He rummages my cabinets
and ransacks the drawers.
He dissects everything
that has at least two parts,
and some that don't.
He'll tackle any obstacle,
or latch, or door
which bars his meddlesome search.

Lord,
As he grows
(my eighteen-month-old explorer)
help me turn his curiosity to your Word.
Teach him to rightly divide it,
and embrace each part.
Oh Lord, that his mind would be as steadfast
in his quest for Truth
tomorrow
as his probing fingers are today!
Amen.
